Delivery & Lead Times

All orders are delivered directly from our UK manufacturers. Delivery times vary by product and supplier and accurate lead times are shown on every product page so you always know what to expect.

How Delivery Works

You place your order
Complete checkout online or contact us for a trade invoice. Your order is confirmed and passed directly to the relevant manufacturer.

Manufacturer processes your order
The lead time shown on your product page begins. For made-to-order items this includes production time. For stocked items it is purely the dispatch and delivery window.

Delivery is arranged
Our delivery partner will contact you directly to arrange a delivery date and confirm access requirements. Most deliveries are booked to a specific day window.

Kerbside delivery to your site
Delivery is made to the kerbside of your address. The driver will offload items but will not position them on site. Most products are delivered flat-packed and require basic assembly.

Access Requirements

Most deliveries are made via large vehicles, often 18-tonne lorries. Pallets are offloaded by tail lift and manoeuvred by manual pump truck — this requires a firm, flat surface. Drivers cannot navigate across grass, gravel, steps or slopes. Before ordering, please ensure your site can accommodate this.

Delivery Surcharges

Certain postcode areas incur an additional delivery surcharge on top of the standard delivery fee. Surcharges are applied at checkout or confirmed at the point of trade quotation. Prices can change at any time.

Assembled & Own-Transport Items

Certain products are delivered fully assembled rather than flat-packed. These are dispatched on dedicated vehicles and lead times differ from standard pallet delivery.

ERGO
ERGO chairs & benches — delivered fully assembled
All ERGO chairs and benches are delivered fully assembled on standard pallet delivery. No assembly is required. Standard lead time applies: 5–10 working days.

From time to time, supplier may deliver other items on their own vehicles. Where this applies, customers will be contacted and delivery booked in prior to the delivery date.

If Your Order Arrives Damaged

In the unlikely event that goods arrive damaged, please follow the steps below. Acting quickly protects your claim.

Reject on delivery where possible
If damage is visible at the point of delivery, reject the item as damaged and note this on the driver's paperwork before they leave.

Photograph all damage
Whether rejected or accepted, photograph all damage to items and packaging clearly before moving or unpacking further. Photos are required for any claim to be assessed.

Email at the earliest opportunity
Send photos and your order details to info@fortivafurnishing.co.uk as soon as possible. If damage is noticed after the driver has left, still send photos at the soonest opportunity.

Do not install or use damaged items before a resolution has been agreed, as doing so may affect your claim.

Failed Delivery Charges

If a delivery cannot be completed — due to insufficient access or no safe place to leave the pallet — the goods will be returned to the depot. Any charges CVGF incur for a failed booked delivery will be passed on to the retailer. To avoid this, please ensure all of the following before your scheduled delivery date.

Adequate vehicle access is confirmed
A firm, flat surface is available for offloading
A responsible person is present to sign
Delivery date has been confirmed with the carrier

If in doubt about access suitability, contact us before placing your order. No white-glove or room delivery service is provided.
